After news in March that theOnimushafilm had been put on indefinite hold, I pretty much gave up hope of seeing the film, but it seems its been given a second chance after all. According toCapcom’s US blog, an ad celebrating Capcom’s 25th anniversary had some interesting tidbits at the bottom — a release date of 2009 for theClock Towerfilm and 2011 forOnimusha. Christophe Gans seems to still be in charge of theOnimushaadaption, whileMartin Weisz remains in charge ofClock Tower....

The Behemoth has beentalking DLCfor its highly popular XBLA game,Castle Crashers, explaining why there is no chainsaw in the game as expected, and promising that at least two new characters will become playable in the future: Moving forward we can tell you that yes there will be a playable King and Necromancer. As asurvey suggested a few weeks ago, EA Los Angeles’ upcoming RTS with have a touch of MMO. The press release mentions “persistent player progression,” as a talking point along with a five versus five competitive multiplayer, and that new mobile basething. The game’s story will be the conclusion toTiberiumseries. Nod’s Kane wants to get into the GDI’s headquarters and apparently leaves the Nod in order to do so....

Even though I had a PlayStation when I was younger, I still managed to completely miss out on every game involving Spyro the Dragon. Possibly forced by Microsoft’s hand after itwas revealed yesterday, BioWare and Electronic Arts have dropped details on the once-mysterious “Darkspawn Chronicles” DLC forDragon Age: Origins. The DLC puts players in the boots of the Darkspawn, playing as the army of the Blight, and enslaved by the will of the Archdemon. Focused on an alternate history in the game universe, the game begins with the player dying during the “Joining” ceremony.
