Beyond the title, Square Enix also filed a logo trademark, with Type-0 written in kanji. This is a step beyond the usual simple name trademarking. Maybe something big is coming. We asked you to tell uswhy you wanted to attend the upcoming New York show of Distant Worlds: music of Final Fantasy for a couple of sets of free tickets. The April 1st and 2nd shows, set to take place at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, are going to be fantastic. Good old Microsoft. Just as it hiked up the price of most “top tier” XBLA games to 1200 Microsoft Points, it reveals the800 MS Point card. Yes, that would have been handy six months ago. The 800 Point card is priced as $9.99, and I suppose it will be handy for Community Games, once Destructoid hasfound all the good onesfor you. Outside of that though, I can only see this as Microsoft giving you a giftwrapped present, only to open it up and find a hairy poo inside....
Recently, we were dropped some screens for the Xbox 360 version ofLeft 4 Dead. Instead of the typical stuff like zombies eating people or people shooting zombies, it was a batch of screens showing off the game’s amazing UI. Feel free to stare infinitely into the beauty that isLeft 4 Dead’smenus. This marks the first time an Xbox 360 game has actually incorporated menus. Since the console’s launch, many 360 enthusiasts have complained about putting in command lines to start games, hop on Xbox Live, and even pick items out of inventories....

This is just likeJapanIRL. A couple of years back, Nick, Niero and I were in Kabukicho, Tokyo’s red light district. We attempted to enter a pretty awesome looking hostess club. All pink and shiny. A finely dressed (high-end suit) Japanese man and his pet bouncer stopped us. The man held up his arms, making an X out of them. He said to us in perfect English: Japanese only, please. News flash: a lot of people signed into Facebook through Xbox LIVE after Microsoft rolled out theplanned summer updatethat also added Last.FM and Twitter. Microsoft dude David Dennis recently toldCNETthat around 2 million people have signed into the social platform via the Xbox 360. He added that half a million people have signed up for Last.FM accounts within its first full day of availability. Dennis didn’t have numbers for the amount of people who got bored with both apps and went to playModern Warfare 2....
Monolithic empire Activision has argued that it is not monolithic empire, arguing that its reputation as a festering hub of evil is the price of being the number one publisher in the business. Some may claim that theAliensandPredatorfranchises are dead, but the apparent success of theAliens vs. Predatordemo seems to indicate that there are a lot of fans left in the world. According to Rebellion,AvPhas been downloaded 14,000 times on Xbox Live alone, which is pretty decent, considering it’s not had a lot of major coverage. I’m legitimately surprised by this, however. I’ve barely been able to find a match on the 360, and when I have, it’s usually some bullsh*t like a one-on-one round....
