Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2: Ryu and Momiji co-op video

Set to drop at the end of September for PS3 isNinja Gaiden Sigma 2, Tecmo’s latest. If you’re hot for that, you’ll probably be hot for the limited cooperative action to be included in the game. We say “limited” because you’ll only do the co-op thing in special missions. Watch in our video below as Ryu is joined by Momiji for an example of this. Because of the crazy-assed dynamic camera ofNGS2, poor Momiji is left playing caught up....

Nintendo Japan to package ‘mature’ titles in black boxes

This is addition to the gigantic “CERO C” label already found on the game’s box art, and would also apply to D (17+) and Z (18+) titles. Nintendo trademarks ‘DSSCAN’… could this use the DSi camera?

I have to admit the whole DSi camera thing doesn’t sound that appealing, at least not at first. I do carry my DS a lot, but I’d rather take my camera along in another pocket than take a poopy photo with something comparable to cell phone camera quality. The only game we knew the DSi would be camera-compatible with was downloadable versions ofBrain Age, so what else would it be used for?...

Part two of the live action Halo. More pants tightening? Oh you betcha

Boy oh boy, I’m sure everyone has had their fair share ofHalostuff for today. I sure have and that’s coming from a lover of the series. Regardless of that, I still had to share the latest episode from the live actionHaloseries. It picks up from right wherethey last left offand shows even more neat things from theHaloverse. As always, the level of detail is amazing. You don’t think just how bad the Spiker rounds are in the game until you watch the bit in this video where the Medic has to saw off one of the rounds from a Marine....

Prince of Persia movie poster freaking sucks

So Jake “my last name sucks to type” Gyllenhaal looks pretty damn good on thePrince of Persiamovie poster. It’s a good pose and the outfit looks great. The tagline isn’t that bad, either! The second poster features the sexy Gemma Arterton, who also looks pretty good. The problem with the posters, though, is the fking font. Look at that sh*t. What the fk am I even looking at? You could make a white guy look Persiany, but you can’t make the damn typeface look Persian?...

PS3 pre-launch report: Bellingham, WA

The weather’s beeninsaneup here today. Gale force winds and the standard-issue western Washington rain dump made for a gnarly afternoon in Bellingham. That didn’t stop the campers from lining up outside of Best Buy as early as 6:00 PM (perhaps much earlier), pitching massive multi-room tents and deploying arrays of propane heaters. I can’t say I’d take the same risk, myself, but then again, I’m not as hardcore anymore as I was when the PS2 was launched....

Resident Evil Revelations lets you sort of move and shoot

You may recall an earlier post about how theResident Evil games on the 3DS willallow you to move and shoot. I was none too pleased about the news. To me, the controls of theResident Evilseries are big part of what makes the games so special. I know some people think thatResident Evilhas “bad” controls, but “bad” and “limiting” are not the same thing. It looks like Capcom still knows that the “negative space” in a game’s control scheme can be important....
