Tingle’s Love Balloon Trip has slingshots, dungeon crawling

Color Changing Tingle’s Love Balloon Tripexcites me. I’ve always had a soft spot forThe Legend of Zelda‘s least popular character, and his latest bizarre outing looks like it’ll be absolutely delightful. A new gameplay video has surfaced, showing everyone’s favorite sex pest shooting birds with slingshots, dungeon crawling in a delightfully old school fashion, and taking part in a slot machine-esque minigame. Typically ludicrous nonsense from the little pervert. I can’t wait....

Tips & tricks with advanced WarioWare D.I.Y. tutorials

And with that, the super helpful, nicely-producedWarioWare D.I.Y.tutorial videos from Nintendo of America Treehouse have come to a close. Since the game has been out in the wild for a while now, this final set delves into more advanced subject matter. Part one shows off some neat pseudo 3D effects, while the second video — thrown after the break, in case you were wondering — is more focused on showing inventive microgames rooted in touch control....

Ubisoft games on today’s Woot offer

I frequently checkWootin the wee hours of the night on the off-chance that I can score a sweet deal on something that I actually want. Sadly, it’s usually only sprinkler heads. Today, however, they have an offer for Ubisoft games conveniently contained on an 8Gb thumbdrive. When you order, you’ll get your choice ofTom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Lockdown, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30,Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos TheoryorBlazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII....

Virtual Maestro game allows you to conduct the London Symphony Orchestra

Your average FPS addict is sure to think this is the lamest game-related story next to aMario cake, but here goes anyway: a homemade game called “Virtual Maestro” has been created by two US professors that allows you to conduct the London Symphony Orchestra using the Wiimote as your baton. The game was tested with audience members at a recent concert in London. I love the idea, obviously, as I ravenously sucked upNodame CantibileDSas soon as it came out, but I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer until the idea comes to fruition for a spin conducting in my own living room....

Vote your choice for the next series of Backlog!

We’re on the verge of finishing up the very first series of Backlog, my ongoing attempt to clear my library of dusty, unfinished games. I started things out withUncharted 2: Among Thievesand, no doubt due to my exceptional skill in being knocked off trains, I’d say it’s been at least somewhat entertaining. But being on the cusp of victory, such as it is, means we must begin looking for the next kingdom to conquer....

Watch what happens when Army of Two’s dudes visit EA HQ

Here’s a question. What happens when you pluckArmy of Two’sSalem and Rios from their gritty, ultra-violent world and plop them into an Electronic Arts office setting? EA answers that brain-tickler splendidly in the teaser trailer below the fold. Hit the break to watch the energetic duo drink coffee, mingle with EA staff, tinkle, and yes, and even take off their pants. We’re guessing the point of the video — aside from being hilarious — is to illustrate how CG versions of the two killers stack up in comparison with real people....

Weird but cool: PS3’s .deTuned interactive experience

I don’t know exactly what it is, but it certainly looks and sounds neat. An experiment made by .theprodukktis called.deTuned, and it is coming to the PS3 later this year. According to thePlayStaton Blog, this isn’t actually a game or an art piece. It’s more of an abstract experience that you can…experience when you’re listening to music on your PS3. With .deTuned, you’ll be able to create your own visuals to go with your music, and then mess with them using your SIXAXIS controller....

Will the Wii Zapper be the next victim of the anti-gun movement?

When I look at the picture above, I see nothing more than a bunch of plastic posing as a frame for your Nintendo Wii’s Nunchuck and Wiimote. Come to think of it, the game (Link’s Crossbow Training) Nintendo decided to include with the “frame” doesn’t look to be all that sinister either. As you might expect, however, others are apt to see something more. While most of us will look at this for what it is — a modern day version of the orange zapper of the NES days — the critics will likely try to spin it, in order to try and further their own agenda....

Would you like the Source SDK for free too? Okay!

As a side effect ofTeam Fortress 2becoming permanently free, Valve will make its Source SDK free as well. I wonder if people who paid to get access to mods in the past will come out of hiding and demand a refund.Wouldn’t surprise me, sadly. Says Robin Walkerof Valve: “We are in the process of getting it all done. It’s a bit messy because we have multiple versions of the SDK, and there’s some dependencies we need to shake out....

Xbox 360 Deal of the Week: Alien-themed games

The theme for this Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week is “Aliens.” Sadly, the savings don’t include the stellar ’80s film of the same name, although I would like to think virtually everyone who intends to own that movie already does at this point in time.
