Lost Planet: Hands on impressions

Last week in San Francisco, Capcom hosted an event to promoteLost Planet. The main focus of the whole deal was to demonstrate the multiplayer maps and game modes that will be available in the finished game. To do this, Capcom linked up 16 360’s and allowed everyone to get in on the multiplayer action. Luckily, I was able to attend. For the most part, I spent four hours just playingLost Planetand sipping free booze, but I did have a chance to talk to a lot of Capcom people and get some info, and good ideas of what you can expect from the game....

Mad Catz to distribute Modern Warfare 2 controllers, stuff

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will receive its own Fight Sticks. Well, sort of. Mad Catz just announced that it has secured the rights to globally distribute controllers and accessories based onModern Warfare 2across all platforms. The official release was excessively vague about the upcoming line of products. We don’t have the slightest clue what Mad Catz has in store for consumers — be it zany turbo controllers or fancy off-brands withMW 2decals stamped all over them....

Mega Man 10’s bosses have interesting personal lives

Like Conrad, I’ma little worried aboutMega Man 10. Ever since I heard that Capcom wants to make the game as good asMega Man 4(my least favorite game in the series), I’ve had the feeling thatMega Man 10might suck. Some think that all Mega Man games are created equal. Not so. A good Mega Man game features likable bosses, creative level design, and music so good that you wont mind being constantly murdered then forced to replay levels over and over again....

New homebrew hack makes Wii region-free

I’m an avid game importer, but I’ve never imported a Wii game. I almost picked up the Wii Freeloader disc, but I was kind of discouraged when I heard thatNintendo’s newest doesn’t work with it. I don’t think we’re to the point yet where it’s worth importing a Japanese Wii, so it would be nice if there was some kind of free hack that would allow region-free gaming. According toEngadget, there is one now....
