I’ll admit it: Of the three Sega titles I was viewing today,Alpha Protocolwas the smallest blip on my radar. Now that I’ve gotten a sweet first look at the game, however, I have to say that the blip has increased in size considerably. This is Obsidian’s twenty-five hour espionage RPG. That sounds a little nuts, but it’s looking really, really good....

Don’t act like you didn’t seethatcoming. Yes —Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, the combat-light, Wii-only next installment in theSilent Hillfranchise, was playable on the show floor. And I played it. Fragile:Sayonara Tsuki no Haikyowas easily one of my most wanted games the moment screens and info started to pop up for it last year. After Dale got time fora hands onat last year’s Tokyo Game Show, I wanted the game worse than ever, but since it was released in Japan in January there wasn’t much indication that it would get a US release. I was hopeful, but as the months passed I began to think I would never play the game in English....

Ubisoft may not have shown offTom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2during their press conference, but they were kind enough to give us some new screenshots and a little bit of information on the game. Like thelast screens we got, most of these are just of various planes. There are few shots, however, of what appear to be tactical airstrikes, both at night and during the day. If the terrain looks surprisingly realistic, it’s because Ubisoft says they’re using actual high-resolution data from GeoEye, a satellite imagery service....

Last night, I posteda tool-assisted speedrun for Square’sFinal Fantasy Legend, the first game in what would eventually become theSaGaseries. Like I mentioned last night, I know virtually nothing about Square’s early exploits on the Gameboy orSaGa. When readerGen Eric Guimentioned that Square was remakingSaGa 2for the DS (known asFinal Fantasy Legend IIin North America), I was intrigued: I had no idea Square was doing another remake (although I shouldn’t be surprised), and it seems like the game had slipped right under Destructoid’s radar....

Considering that my DS is probably the most-played console in my house, I obviously have a soft spot for it, and I’ve certainly been known to drip saliva on some of therarer DSI’ve seen in the field. I’m not that into autographs, so I don’t think this one would do much for me personally, but the hardest of hardcore Nintendo fanboys ought to sit up and take notice. This pure white DS was signed by Shigeru Miyamoto at E3 in 2005, where the seller won it in some sort of contest....
