PS3 sales up 178% in the UK thanks to price drop

Since itdropped PlayStation 3 pricesin Europe, UK sales havegone up by 178%. Another score for Blu-ray! In the UK, PlayStation products are true status symbols, so it’s no great stretch to imagine a price cut attracting yet more buyers who found the launch product a bit too rich for their blood....

Rachel stars in the Resident Evil Revelations TGS trailer

There’s already a fair amount of controversy brewing around Rachel, the new character revealed in this trailer forResident Evil Revelations. Her character design seems to be the target of some built up resentment among some gamers; resentment over the blatant oversexualization of female game characters that’s been endemic of the medium since Samus first took off all herclothes for no reason at the end ofMetroid. I understand why some gamers have finally had enough, but in this case, I don’t really see it....

Calling it a tower defense game sells it really short, but I don’t entirely know how else to describe this one. Does “worth playing” work for you?...

I can tell you everything that happens in this “mood clip” for Deep Silver’s 360/PC RPGRisenin one sentence. Some birds walk around, some porcupines walk around, then a little man sits down. That’s about all the content released for this small video. I’m still quite looking forward to the game though. Deep Silver is responsible for the promisingCursed Mountain, that high altitude horror game for the Wii that you haven’t thought about in months....
