Resident Evil 4 for Wii is NOT censored

It’sbeenreportedthatResident Evil 4for the Wii will be censored. Technically, this is true. The original source, Next-Gen.biz, said: “…a great portion of the blood and gore has been excised from the game. Headshots no longer kill, limbs can no longer be shot off.” Now us flag-waving, zombie killing, corn growing Americans can’t do with just that! We need to see those zombies shot in the head and have them go down....

Resident Evil: Revelations looks just about perfect

This is probably my top presentation at Nintendo World 2011. According to my crap translation of this video, the game’s developers have reported thatResident Evil: Revelationswill feature more a lot more than what we see here. More characters than just Jill and Chris, more areas to explore than the ship (like the snowy area seen in one of the screens in the gallery), and more types of enemies. Even if that weren’t the case, I might still be satisfied....

Review: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

TheMetal Gear Solidseries means something different to everybody. To some, the series symbolizes the full maturation of videogames as a narrative art form. For others, the series is a symbol of the revolting excess that has grasped the hearts of so many of today’s game developers. Where you stand on theMetal Gear Solidfranchise likely depends on how well you tolerate hour-long cut scenes, extremely complicated back-stories, and gravel-tongued voice acting....

Review: Naughty Bear

I like to champion games that aren’t getting coverage elsewhere. Usually a simple idea, a visual style, or an interesting gameplay hook will seduce me, and I’ll make sure to devote some of my time to giving it a little spotlight. Sometimes I’m right to do so and the game is a surprisingly excellent one. Sometimes I judged wrong, and it turns out I’ve been supporting a stinker. Really,Naughty Bearis the kind of game that should be verydifficultto ruin....

Sadness developer Nibris no longer makes videogames

Considering the fact that Nibris never actuallymadea single game in its lifetime, perhaps it’s wrong to say that it “no longer” makes them. Nevertheless, the notorious “developer” of the Wii “videogame”Sadnessisn’t in the dev business anymore, which means we’ll never get a game that wasn’t being made in the first place. What a loss to the world of entertainment! Nibris hasn’t left the game industry entirely, though. The company is now the coordinator for something called the European Center for Games, at least according to atranslated European article....

Focus Home Interactive has just launched a website for their upcoming DS title,Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of Osborne House. I honestly only went and checked it out because the last time I played a Sherlock Holmes game on my DS, it was really rather awful and I wanted to laugh. This looks like much more fun. The game seems to be emulatingProfessor Laytonmore than a bit, from what the screenshots show....

Singularity shows off the Deadlock feature

Singularityis just full of neat ways to kill people. For example, take a look at the Deadlock feature. It’s a ball of energy that slows down anything that gets caught up within it. It also doubles as a defense tool that can slow down enemy fire. Oh, the joys of technology. It is a great aid to us all until the day some evil bastard figures out a way to make a weapon like the one inSingularity....
