In one of the more disappointing bits of news regardingLittleBigPlanet, it appears that online cooperative level creation will not happen until a patch is released afterlaunch. The information stems from aposting on the official PlayStation forumsby a Media Molecule developer. The ability to create with your friends online will come as part of the first major update after the game is released. Offline creating with up to 4 people on one PlayStation 3 however is available right from the get go....

To no surprise, Sony has announcedMotorStorm Apocalypsefor the PlayStation 3. But don’t call it “post-apocalyptic”; the game will take place during the apocalypse, with pieces of the city — inspired by the West Coast, and the Bay Area in particular — being torn up as you race. Players will race on the rooftops of collapsing buildings, as well as through subways and sewers. Apocalypsewill not only support sixteen players online, but four-player split-screen as well, along with combinations of the two (three on the same screen, with the rest of the players against 12 online, for instance)....

If there is one complaint I have about the RTS genre, it s that is be a bit too…involved. I mean, there is no lazy way to playStarCraftorCommand and Conquer. You’ve got to actually devote energy and involvement into the game, otherwise you’ll fall apart. It really seems that 1C and their internal team, 1C: Ino-Co, seems to agree with me, especially since their upcoming releaseMajesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Simis a game all about taking a hands-off approach to taking over a fantasy land....
