It’s time for North America to get some Virtual Console love forChrono Trigger. An ESRB rating has listed the beloved role-playing game for Wii, as spotted by the all-seeing, all-knowing Siliconera. Not too shocking a prospect,given how eagerSquare Enix is to get the game out on all of the major platforms that make sense for this kind of re-release. So I don’t “do” MMOs, but evidently just because the sequel to an MMO comes out does not mean that the original dies out. I suppose that makes sense since people still want to play the original with their original characters. We’re really looking forward toDarksidersat Destructoid, and THQ apparently likes that we’re looking forward to it. Both of these elements have collided to allow us to be the first ones to show off the Achievements and Trophies that will be yours for the unlocking in this steroid-friendly action game. Most of the rewards are for killing everything in sight, which is definitely my cup of tea. It’s also not often you can unlock an Achievement for “taking a helicopter out with a car during the Apocalypse....
Monolith’s horror FPS sequelF.E.A.R 2: Project Originwill be getting downloadable content in April, adding a “new perspective” to the multiplayer. Maybe they will make the multiplayer actually worth playing, but we could be hoping for too much. The new content’s main feature is a “Toy Soldiers” Map Pack, promising this new perspective. I’m imagining aLand of the Giantsstyle arena full of massive pencils and toy cars. Sadly, there appears to be no addition to the game’s excellent single-player campaign, but to make up for it we have a Premium Theme and Picture Pack on the way....
