New Metal Gear Solid 4 interview

The Official PlayStation Magazine in the UK recently interviewed Hideo Kojima, and The_Prospector atMetalGearSolid.orgtook the trouble to type out the entire interview on their forums. Looks like Kojima plans to make this his defining work. He seems to have some grand plans in store for the fourth installment of the series, ranging from “semi-open ended” gameplay to ingame versions of real-life characters.MGSfans should get a real kick out of this interview … I’m not really a fan of theMGSgames any more, and even I was pretty impressed....

New videos have me marking out for Legends of Wrestlemania

OK, these newWWE Legends of Wrestlemaniavideos are great. After the jump, there’s some footage of the game’s Create-a-Legend mode, which looks nearly identical to what we’ve seen in theSmackdown vs. Rawgames. But the video above? Oh man, the video above has really tickled whatever bone it is that makes me want to play this game. (Not that bone, you weirdo.) It shows off some of the game’s managers — Bobby Heenan, Paul Bearer, “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart — and it’s bringing back a ton of memories....

New Xbox Experience 2? Microsoft is prepared to do it

The New Xbox Experience isn’t even finished yet, but that hasn’t stopped Xbox Live product unit manager Jerry Johnsonfrom boastingthat Microsoft could have aNewNew Xbox Experience in a few years if there was demand. “If our customers want it, and the market wants it, we can do it again. There’s no date set on it though,” stated Johnson. Johnson also seems confident that the shameful server issues experienced during Christmas of last year won’t happen again: “I can tell you that when Robbie Bach is on the phone on Christmas Day calling people asking what the hell is going on, and that’s coming down from Steve Ballmer … that’s the kind of attention it got last holiday....

Ninokuni finally gets dated for Japan

Whenever I think of Level-5’s upcoming gameNinokuni,I always think of Colette’s reactionto the first trailer for the game. I’m right there with her as it sounds like my dream game. Level-5 teamed up with Studio Ghibli to make this, and they’ve been teasing us with it since last year. RPGamergives us a good idea of the game’s story: he main character, Oliver, and his friend Mark build a car, but when they take the car out for a test drive, Oliver nearly drowns in a nearby river, but is saved by his mother, who then dies of a heart attack following his rescue....

Oh God: Behind the scenes of The King of Fighters movie

As you may of heard,The King of Fightersis being turned into a movie. As you can see in this trailer, this has like nothing to do with the game. Seriously, what the f**k is going on? Maggie Q isn’t busty enough to pull of Mai Sharanui, Terry Bogard is some old CIA agent and Iori Yagami is now a hockey player fighting guy thing. Oh, and the tournament happens in an alternative dimension....

Okay, I admit: DJ Hero is harder than it looks

While I run the risk of sounding like an ass, I always thought FreeStyleGames’DJ Herolooked kind of… easy. Make no mistake, since I first saw the game in action it always looked like it would be a lot of fun. The soundtrack promised to be killer, and based on what I had heard, I was sure it was going to deliver. But despite the new controller and my unfamiliarity with an actual turntable, watching the game being played on the most difficult levels never seemed all that difficult at all, actually....

P.A.D: Madden Bowl 2010 (Outsourced)

I tend to be immune to just about everything. But some how I wasn’t immune to H1N1. We have a very tight budget this 1st quarter and found that no one would be willing to work for Game Juice. So we had no choice but to Outsource PAD to a Indian Villager named Neranjan Venom from Sholingur. I think his name means Orange. I really feel it’s a wonderful opportunity! A real gift, and a chance to teach another culture about our greatest American Gift EA’s Madden Bowl!...

Phallic product names continue with the Wii Shaft

It sports a ball-style joystick and six face buttons, all equipped with a “turbo” function. Poetic justice: CNET executive who fired Gerstmann will soon be jobless

“Gerstmann-gate” has become something of a watershed moment in the games journalism industry. Many cynics had assumed thatthings like thathad been occurring for years, but it wasn’t until the end of last November that we found out about it in such a highly publicized manner. Though we still don’t (and probably won’t ever) know what truly happened in the chain of events that led toCNET’s firing of eleven-year veteran GameSpot editor Jeff Gerstmann, the games industry has been forever changed by it....

Hey, rememberBackbreaker? You know, thatotherfootball game that was announced forever ago — the one that runs on the Euphoria engine, the one we’ve seen neither hide nor hair of inmore than a year? Well, contrary to popular opinion, it isn’t vaporware. The game most definitely exists — in fact, I spent about 45 minutes checking it out during E3, and boy, do I have a lot to tell you about it....
