YouTube user dirtFilledCoffin went through hell to compile 50 of the worst voice acting scenes in gaming and put them all together in the video above....

A glance at the gaming habits of a hardcore dad

Dadcore I had the extremely good fortune to be born into a family with a long history of playing games and not be the first generation to take up the digital variety. My father was playing games on a PC as far back as my memory allows me to reach, often fixated on a single title played every day. For over ten years, it wasWarcraft II, single-player. Before that, it was the classicEarl Weaver Baseballand both games played until it became simply too inconvenient to keep playing on more modern hardware....

Alarmingly These Are Not Lovesick Zombies: well, they aren’t (I think)

Jason Nelson is the manic, over-caffeinated Salvador Dali of gaming. If the games-as-art debate has been missing one crucial element it’s the surreal: that area where the human mind frays a bit, midgets are all backmasked and tiny Japanese girls cry blood from eyes the size of saucers. Nelson’sprevious workwas an excellent example of the sharpest point on the knife labeled “pop surrealism” — after all, what’s more “pop” than the Web-2....

Assassin’s Creed IN SPACE and other rad art

Ubisoft is putting together anAssassin’s Creedartbook comprised of fan-made creations. The piece above (page four) — along with quite a few other cool alternate universe entries — didn’t make the cut. You can view the rest inthis forum thread, which I encourage you all to do. After seeing some of these, I hope Ubisoft strays away from the current formula and goes in some batsh*t crazy direction. The “future Japanese assassin” on page five would be fun to play as....

News like this should hardly come as a shock to gamers anymore, as the biggest titles have all started to outgrow DVDs....
